The Organic Garden Club Food Freedom Summer Potluck was marvelous! The party was so fun, the food was organically superb, and the weather was perfect! We are Free to grow an Organic Food Garden! We are Free to Eat what we Grow! Our Production Vice President, Scott Horn, took this great picture at the Conejo Creek North Park in Thousand Oaks! 

We had bubbles, babies, and balloons! Our Propagation Vice President, Bill Brandt, gave us a short class on growing plants from seeds and passed out flats of succulents for members to grow for the Native Plantapalooza next fall. Dale Harshberger answered the Q and A for organic gardeners growing food in their backyard!

Darcey Lober, our Channel Island District Director, presented the Organic Garden Club with a check for $100 from the California Garden Clubs for the 2024 Club Touring Award for outstanding trips throughout the year! We also won the California Garden Clubs Blue Ribbon Award for 2024 Club Achievements (projects, programs, tours, public relations, youth)! Great picnic, a terrific group of folks, delicious healthy food, and fun for all!
